Thank you to all you incredible people that attended the Barzani Development’s Year End Function as we celebrated our greatest year yet.

Take a look at the Vryburg Project Video to see what we accomplished

The event took place at the beautiful venue Muranti just outside Klerksdorp on the 9th of December 2015 and was perfectly organised by Jo-Lee van den Berg. The night was full of great entertainment lead by Andries Vermeulen, who’s incredible stories kept the audience laughing and at times even crying tears of joy.

Four awards were given out during the course of the evening. Contractor of the year went to Brian Wysoke and Berts Bricks received the award for the supplier of the year. Two lucky employees also received an award along with a R30 000 cheque. Colin de Meyer won the prize for Technical Employee of the year and Sarah Danster was awarded the Administrative Employee of the year prize. This is the second prize that Sarah has won as a few months earlier she won a 60second trolley dash through Woolworths.

We also had the privilege to hear from some of the directors during the course of the evening and the evening’s formalities were concluded by a farewell speech by “Oom” George. The speech was definitely one of the highlights as we bid farewell to a man that meant so much to Barzani and to all of the people that had the honor of knowing him. Melissa the GM also delivered a special item in memory of how much George meant to her and as you could see on the faces of those listening to special song, the feeling was mutual.
